So are you looking for some Preschool Zoo Activities? I have listed some easy ones here for you to try, do let me know how it went!
Monkey Time - Monkeys are favorites of preschool children, boys and girls alike. They love to act like them, climb around like them, and run around being a monkey. This in itself is one of the greatest Preschool Zoo Activities for the kids to keep them fit and have some fun. You can augment the activity with a lesson that teaches the children characteristics of the monkey: how they are great climbers, they use their hands and feet like we can, how they look for food and so on.
Preschool Zoo Crafts -
Paper plate animals can be made for different species. For instance, with the lion you can paint the paper plate orange and brown, let dry and use painted cotton balls for a mane and draw on a face to make it complete. This can be done for any animal you choose to highlight in a lesson, just have the appropriate colors and extras on hand.
Animal Mask - Creature Masks are another winner when planning your zoo preschool activities. An example would be a tiger mask. Several websites, including pbskids.org, has mask templates that you can print out and color. The youngest kids might need help cutting the mask out of the 8.5x11 paper. Use a string to tie the mask around the kid's face.
Read a book -
Books are a welcome sight to many children, especially when there's a lot of colorful pictures to view.

Field Trip - What's better than reading about zoos? Going to one of course! A preschool zoo activity wouldn't be complete without a field trip to the zoo. You can make this a week long project if you plan correctly. Many zoo websites, such as the San Diego Zoo, has a teacher's resource or education section where you can download lesson plans, printables, and activities to get the kids ready for the trip.
Preschool Zoo Science on Food - Healthy snacks can include food that the animals may eat. For instance, elephants eat peanuts and monkeys eat bananas and bears eat fish. Just make sure none of the kids in the class have allergies to any food you may offer them.
Animal Cracker - Animal Cracker Art can be fun. Use cotton swabs or water color brushes and edible paint made from corn syrup and food coloring. Let the kids colors the animal crackers.
Playdough - Playdough can be used in your zoo theme preschool activities to create animals seen at the zoo. You can use the animal crackers as "templates".
Singing Time - Zoo inspired songs can be sung. You can create your own , or modify from familiar tunes like Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus.
Simple Games - Other fun zoo activities for preschool children are games like the Teddy Bear hunt. Simply bring a bunch of Teddy Bears to class and hide them in the room prior to the beginning of your session or perhaps, if the circumstance is available to you, hide the bears outside. You can always offer some little token for the student who finds the most.
