Let's check out some cool Preschool Spring Crafts here...
Alphabet -
Kids spring crafts can include a session on which letters correspond to the first letters of springtime words. Some examples are: Flower, Bee, and "Sun." There are several preschool printable templates on the Internet, for preschoolers to color in pictures and letters. This can create "teachable moments" about the different things that we see in Spring.
Animals -
There are several possible options. You can have the children color pages of different animals. They can also practice writing the first letters that correspond to different Spring animals, such as "F" for "frog." You can also have the preschoolers create their own frog and toad crafts, and then talk about the differences between them for your Preschool Spring Crafts sessions. How about some animal songs like this?
Home -
Spring is the time for spring-cleaning, so this is an excellent theme for spring preschool crafts. Children could create crafts of different types of homes. This could include a traditional house, a tower, an igloo, and even a nest. The children will learn that a "home" doesn't necessarily have to be a house. I'm sure you can think of lots of Preschool Spring Crafts with this home theme.
Kite -
The making of the kites could also coincide with the reading of a storybook, such as a Spot (the dog) or book. After reading the book, the children can learn the basics about kites-such as how air allows them to fly.
May Day -
You can teach the preschoolers about the history of May Day, and use several crafts to make the spring kids crafts lesson more enjoyable. For example, preschoolers could make a crown of daisies, and then celebrate May Day as it was done during the past. The children can also help to make a May Day pole, for celebrating the event.
Rainbow -
The children can learn about the different colors of the rainbow, by drawing their own rainbows. This is an excellent opportunity to teach about what rainbows are, how they form, and so on. You could also create a puzzle that includes six pieces that form a rainbow.
Tree -
Preschoolers can create their own pictures of trees, using the actual leaves and pinecones of real trees. They can learn about the different alphabet letters that correspond to various tree words. That includes Tree, Acorn, and Leaf. The children can also dip half an apple into green or red paint, to create their own apple print placemats.
Umbrella -
The kids can do preschool activities about spring involving the letter "U" for umbrella. You can find several printable umbrella-themed crafts, on the Internet. For instance, the students can create their own craft that reveals a bunny or other Spring animal holding an umbrella.
Water -
The preschoolers can learn that "April showers bring May flowers." They can color pictures that include alphabet letters related to water words in the springtime. That includes: Icicle, Umbrella, and Water. The children can also create their own clouds, using cotton balls glued onto construction paper. This is an excellent chance to teach about how clouds function.
Weather -
The preschoolers can learn about the different types of weather that occurs in the Spring. That includes sun, rain, rainbows, and so on. Kids can spend time completing coloring pages, or drawing their own Water Cycle. This will give them a better appreciation for natural resources. Perhaps you can include a recyling theme as part of your Preschool Spring Crafts sessions as well. Here are many other Spring Preschool Crafts Activities available including Spring Coloring Pages.
