Here is one really simple preschool science activity. Kids love to play with water. They make it splash, pretend they are deep sea divers or swimming with the mermaids.
So what are the preschool scientific activities that you can do with water? 1) You can create an ocean for them to observe.
3) Experiment with water density:
4) Which item floats?
Take a clear plastic two-liter bottle, remove the label and fill it 3/4 full with water. Now, add some blue food coloring and liquid cooking oil, leaving about one inch free at the top of your bottle. The oil and water won’t mix, as they are two substances that are physically impossible to mix due the difference in density. Tilting the bottle back and forth will form waves and this will positively amaze the preschoolers.
This is a fun experiment to do on bath time. Gather few items like cork, metal spoon, rubber duck , soap bar etc. Then let the kids guess which item will float and which one won't.
