Preschool Graduation Ideas
|
||||
So are you looking for some preschool graduation ideas? Your little ones have done so good this year! They made it all the way through from the first day they cried and cried and clung to you, “Please don’t go!” to the end of the school year where now they are all big boys and big girls. You really should do something extra special… like throw them a preschool graduation party!
Graduation will give the children that sublime and momentous point in time where they can show off all
of their accomplishments, teach mommy and daddy everything that they have learned and show everyone that
they are ready to take that next step in life into Kindergarten.
You can make the night fun for all and there are many ways of doing just that. Don’t make any long preschool graduation speeches as you can lose the children’s attention. Keep it short, sweet and proud. There are some that have read books and poems in place of a speech. This could work well in conjunction with performance from the preschoolers if you choose to do something like Nursery Rhymes and acting them out. You can also include some preschool graduation songs, preschool graduation poems and dont forget your special preschool graduation gifts! Along with preschool graduation activities during the ceremony, you might wish to have the kids dress for the occasion. You can have them create their own cap and graduation gowns. One way to make your own gown is to have your preschooler bring in one of daddy’s dress shirts. If the child wears it backwards, it can make a terrific gown. Decorate it in school colors, with the date, handprints of the child and the name of the child. There are other creative ideas that you can probably come up with.
While the mortarboard is traditionally square, you don’t necessarily need to do it for the kids. Just fashion a hat of sorts out of the material to place on their heads, perhaps coloring them with the school colors as well. The tassels you can make out of colored string or yarn and braid strands together before attaching them to your mortarboards or hats. There are a host of other things out there that you could do for the wee ones as they show their love. You just need to be creative and think on their level. So long as they can sing, play, dance or draw, the Preschool Graduation will be a smash hit!
