So what else can we do as a fun preschool graduation ideas?


How about some NOICE?


Balloon drops, confetti and noise makers could be put to good use. After the children have received diplomas, you could let everything fly!


It makes a mess, but it is a very fun mess. Themes could be put into action, as well by carrying them throughout the year for a big finale at the end.


One theme could be time, art or friendship. With any of these themes you could do activities throughout the year and put the completed projects on the wall, have the kids display their work, put together an album or portfolio to share or make a slide show or DVD of the work.

  • shadow drawings;
  • art produced by finger paints,
  • regular paint, crayons, or chalk;
  • photographs throughout the year as the kids accomplish tasks;

    • or have the kids put together a presentation of sorts describing what they want to be when they grow up.


    Patriot is a never-ending trend and theme. You could have the kids come in singing a patriotic song such as

  • “God Bless America”,
  • “America The Beautiful” or
  • “The Star Spangled Banner”
    • waving flags before moving on to the ceremony.


    You can easily adapt the above activities to your own local culture.


    In my daughter's preschool here in Penang, the graduating batch performed to fun and catchy Malay, Indian and Chinese songs. There was a class who did a cute Mexican dance as well!


    You can also include some


    Other themes that you can try : Farms, Survivor Island, Hawaii, Caribbean, or center it around a little play that they could create on their own.
