More Preschool Games

Here comes more preschool games!

Nature Rubbing Books: -

Take blank papers outside to rub with pencils different objects.

Have the children rub the paper against rocks, grass, tree trunks, etc. for their own impressions of nature and then turn it into a book.

Bug in the Rug -

This game can be done indoors by laying a large sheet on the floor.

A group of kids circle around the sheets while one child steps away and covers his eyes (it).

The teacher tags a child (bug) to get under the rug (sheet).

'It' comes back while the kids say: Bug in the rug, bug in the rug, who's that bug in the rug??

'It' needs to figure out who's under the rug, and the bug is then revealed.

Hide and Seek -

Have one child be 'it' and count to ten or so while everyone else hides.

It needs to find the rest of the children.

If the rest of the children make it to ?base? (something of your choosing) they are safe.

Red Rover -

This is another game for the playground.

Two groups of kids link arm in arm in two lines facing each other.

One group calls one kid over from the other side by name: Red Rover, Red Rover, send Jimmy right over..

Jimmy then needs to try to run through the other line and the kids need to keep him from breaking through.

Each side takes turns until all players have tried.

Balloon Tag -

This game is for the outdoors.

Choose a kid to be "It"

Blow up a balloon (not with helium) and have ?it? throw the ball into the air.

While the balloon is falling, "It" needs to chase and tag another preschooler before the balloon hits the ground.

'It' remains 'It' if the balloon hits the ground first.

'It' is allowed to bump the balloon back up into the air before it hits the ground thorought the game.
