More Preschool Games

Here comes more preschool games!

Hopscotch -

Hopscotch can teach a preschooler friendly competition, counting and keep them active.

Just draw out the diagram on pavement or the sidewalk, with as many squares as you prefer, and let the little ones hop away!

Simon Says: -

The caller (teacher or one of the kids) calls out activities: “Simon Says jump up and down” and everyone has to jump up and down, or “Clap” no one should clap,

If anyone doesn't they are out of the game.

Musical Chairs: -

Place chairs in the middle of the classroom side by side with one more student than there are chairs and then put another row back to back with the first.

Play some music while the children walk around the chairs and when you stop the music from playing, all the kids need to rush for the chairs and sit down.

The one child left standing is out of the game.

Keep removing one chair for every child that ends up kicked out of the game.

The last one to sit is the winner.

Telephone -

This is a game of communication.

Have the children sit in a circle.

Whisper to one child in the circle a statement of your choosing, perhaps “The elephant is grey” and have the kids pass the statement around the circle in whispers until it reaches your first child.

See if the message is the same!

It’s a fun game because the last statement is hardly ever the same as the first and this can provide much fun and laughter.

Hula Hoops -

Have the children play with hula-hoops by trying to swing it around their arms, their waists, etc.

Make a competition game out of it if you wish or a different version of Simon Says.
