Hands and Feet Reindeer

This Hands and Feet Reindeer is an easy preschool christmas craft! They may need some help cutting out the shapes, but there's nothing like a craft made with little hands and feet to make it that much more unique!

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Preschool Christmas Crafts
Here's what you'll need...

• Construction paper
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Glue
• Google eyes or marker

Preschool Christmas Crafts
Here's how you make it...

1. Trace and cut out two hand prints and one foot print (you may get a better shape if you trace around a foot with a shoe on). Cut out a red oval for a nose.

2. Glue your foot print onto a piece of construction paper. Glue your hand prints on behind the foot prints to make the reindeers' antlers. Glue on your nose, and if you have google eyes, glue them on, otherwise just draw them on with a marker!

Cone Christmas Tree

Children will love to make their very own Cone Christmas Tree! Dress your tree with scraps from around the house like buttons, felt, sequins and such! Preschoolers will need help making the cone, but they'll love to decorate their very own tree!

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's what you'll need...

• Construction paper – brown and green
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Glue and/or tape
• Embellishments found around the house

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's how you make it...

1. Cut out a semi circle from a piece of green construction paper. The easiest way to do this is to trace around a plate and the cut it in half.

Preschool Christmas Crafts 2. Roll your semi-circle into a cone and glue or tape to secure.

Preschool Christmas Crafts 3. Cut a rectangle out of the brown construction paper, roll it into a cylinder and glue or tape to secure. Place your cone onto the cylinder to make your tree and you're ready to decorate!

Use items you have around the house to trim your tree. What's on ours? We used red and white pipe cleaners twisted around each other to make candy canes; we used ribbon scraps to tie into bows, and we used some sparkly sequins. Use you imagination!

HandPrint Gift Bags N Tags

Make your gift extra special by making HandPrint Gift Bags N Tags! This is a great gift giving craft for Toddlers and Preschoolers, you can even do this one with your baby!

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's what you'll need...

• Construction paper
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Glue
• Marker
• Embellishments (optional)
• Paper bag
• Paper bag (for gift bag)
• Hole Punch (for gift bag)
• Ribbon/twine/yarn (for gift bag)

Here's how you make them...

Preschool Christmas Crafts 1. Trace a hand print onto a piece of construction paper and cut out. If you wish, decorate your hand print with embellishements, like glitter glue, sequins, markers/crayons, glitter, etc. Glue onto a paper bag, or to make it more fancier buy a plain gift bag at the dollar store. Or tape your hand print onto your gift for a personalized gift tag! Write on a special message!

2. Once you have glued the hand print, fold the top of the bag over, punch two holes in it, thread a piece of ribbon through the holes and tie a bow at the front.

Another, although messier, option is to brush a thin coat of paint on a hand and press it onto paper and cut it out.

Spaghetti Christmas Ornaments

These unique Spaghetti Christmas Ornaments are a great holiday craft for toddlers, on up. They would make a cute gift for a Grandparent or family member! They won't last until next season, but there're fun to make every year!

Level of Difficulty: Easy

If you're doing this craft with a group, keep in mind these decorations need to be left to dry overnight.

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's what you'll need...

•Spaghetti, broken in half, cooked and cool
•Glue
•Paint – Christmas colors
•Spoon or popsicle stick
•Wax paper
•Ribbon, yarn or string (to hang your ornament)
•Dessert sized paper plates (optional)

Here's how you make it...

Preschool Christmas Crafts 1. Tear off a piece of wax paper about 18"-24" long. Pour 1 Tablespoon of glue onto your wax paper and add about 1/2 teaspoon of paint on top. Mix together with a spoon. Repeat using different colors. If you want to keep your paint separate, mix each paint color in dessert sized paper plates.

Preschool Christmas Crafts 2. Smear your cooked spaghetti into the paint and lay it on the wax paper. Continue with different colors.

3. Let dry overnight. Peel the ornament off the wax paper, and string a piece of ribbon, yarn or string, through your ornament and hang.

If you're doing this craft with a toddler, it may help to keep the spaghetti contained if you draw a circle or square onto the wax paper with a permanent marker and tell them to make their ornament inside the shape.

Add some extra sparkle by decorating with glitter glue once they've dried!

Prickly Christmas Tree

You can touch and feel the pine needles on this Prickly Christmas Tree! Decorate your tree with what ever embellishments you have around the house! A great Christmas craft for preschoolers, on up!

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's what you'll need...

• Rice
• Green food coloring
• Water
• Zipper baggie
• Wax paper
• Card stock or cardboard
• Pencil
• Marker
• Glue
• Embellishments from around the house
Here's how you make it...

Preschool Christmas Crafts 1. Place 1 teaspoon of water and 6 drops of green food coloring in to a zipper baggie. Add 1/2 cup of rice into the baggie, seal it and mix well to coat all the rice. Spread the rice on a piece of wax paper to dry. It will take 1/2 hour to and hour for your rice to be dry and ready to use depending on your climate.

Preschool Christmas Crafts 2. Draw a triangle on your piece of cardstock or cardboard, fill it in with glue.

Preschool Christmas Crafts 3. Sprinkle your green rice over top of the triangle, press it down a little if you want. Then shake it off. You're left with a prickly tree!

4. Decorate your tree with whatever you have around the house. We used stickers, but you can use felt scraps, pom poms, glitter glue, construction paper and so on. Don't forget to make a trunk for your tree, use a marker or piece of construction paper!

Just regular construction paper will work for this craft, but the rice is a little heavy so that's why we've recommended using a heavier paper like card stock - even the back of a cereal box would work well!

Christmas Treat Jar

This Christmas Treat Jar is so easy to make and can be filled with just about anything! These make perfect gifts for teachers or anyone who you need to give a 'little something' to for the holidays!

You can find canning jars easily at any craft store or discount department store and only cost about $1.

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's what you'll need...

• Jar
• Snack food
• Ribbon (optional)
• Glue (optional)
Here's how you make them...

Preschool Christmas Crafts 1. Start to fill your jar with your Christmas snacks. We put Banana Chips, Craisins (dried cranberries), unsalted peanuts, cashews, and almonds, Christmas colored M&Ms. Choose any snacks you'd wish, just make sure that everything is unsalted. Otherwise the salt will draw the moisture out of your other treats and ruin the taste.

2. Layer your snacks so that they are at least 1" thick, otherwise your snacks will run into each other and won't look 'layered'. A regular sized canning jar will take about 1 cup of snack for each layer - this is a great opportunity for the kids to practice 'measuring'.

3. To finish off your jar tie a piece of ribbon around the lid. We wrapped and criss-crossed a ribbon around our lid and secured it with a drop of hot glue (or fabric glue).

If you want to add an extra special touch, why not make your gift tag out of a handprint, just a quick way to make your gifts even more personalized!

Handprint Christmas Tree

This Handprint Christmas Tree craft is a great holiday craft for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners! Decorate your tree with what ever you have around the house or classrooom!

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's what you'll need...

• Construction paper
• Scissors
• Paint and big brush
• Glitter (optional)

Preschool Christmas Crafts Here's how you make it...

1. Cut a triangluar shape from a piece of white construction paper. Make green hand and finger prints all over the triangle. You can lightly dip hands and fingers, but brushing the green paint on hands will make a better print! (less blobs and quicker to dry)

Preschool Christmas Crafts 2. You can decorate your tree any way you'd like. What did we use? We diped fingers into red paint, sprinkled glitter over top, and shook off the excess. This makes great ornaments for your tree (the glitter sticks to the paint when it dries). We topped our tree with a star made of yellow construction paper. Be creative, you can make your own ornaments out of paper, use glitter glue, stickers, the sky's the limit!
