Paper and cards - Newspaper off cuts: A great place to get plain paper, particularly for paper crafts and drawing. Neat if you have a newspaper office nearby. Scrapbooking paper and card - If you are finding the scrapbook stores too expensive try looking in newsagents, office supply stores and department stores for paper and card. Op shops and flea markets, don’t forget your neighborhood garage sales!
Wool - Used knitwear is great for small amounts of wool for wool crafts. Leather - Look out for old handbags, belts and leather jackets for leather scraps and fittings.
Beading - Op-shops often have old jewelry, which can be reused for findings, beads and pendants. Great for all other hobby supplies! Mosaic – Broken old plates are great for cool mosaic projects. Don't let the kid's to play with them though! Nature - Mother Nature has an endless bounty of craft supplies for free. Pick beautiful flowers and leaves for pressed flower projects, you can also color some beautiful fist sized rocks as personalized paper weights. DIY - How about making you very own craft recipes, like soap bubbles, play dough and paper mache?
