I Like Winter Because....

I think this might suit either much older children or much younger children LOL! My year one (age 5/6) children's designs were very modest but cute none the less.

I gathered a stack of different coloured paper. I pre-cut the squares and gave the children a template for the handle then showed them how to stick the handle on at the back.
I showed them lots of images of mugs with designs on then gave them paper to do their details before sticking on.

A personal touch was to get the kids to write what they liked best about winter. If they were younger I could have written their ideas for them and let them add their names.

I also stapled the finished mugs onto the wall so that the card bowed and stuck out from the wall.

Ideally, time permitting, I would have liked to have added real marsh mallows and more steam and also cookies on the border or similar.
