Art is always one of the the most welcomed Autumn Preschool Activities for the wee ones.

Using Fall colored construction paper, paint and playdough you can create leaves that have fallen from the trees, pumpkins, or perhaps scarecrows and turkeys.

Mr. Potato Head -

A take off of the old Mr. Potato Head is the Mr. Pumpkin Head. Just use small pumpkins and parts from Mr. Potato Head to let the children create their own pumpkin people.

Fall Wreaths -

Perhaps your kids would like to make something different for the doors of their homes to greet their guests during the season.

Fall Wreaths can be just that something. Using styrofoam rings available at any craft store; you can stick most anything into them to make the wreath.

For instance: acorns, leaves, Fall colored flowers or pine cones.

Placemats -

Fall leaf placemats can be a nice addition to a table. Use black and white templates that the kids can color or paint to personalize for preschool activities on Fall season.

Mini Leaf Science -

Leaf collecting is easy to do while they are all falling from the trees. Have the kids press them and make books out of them if you like. You can create so many other fun Fall preschool activities just by using these leaves.

Pick a Song -

Singing is loved by many. Pick a song about turkeys, pumpkins or Fall itself to sing with the kids. For instance Saw A Leaf written by Jean Warren to the tune of My Darling Clementine:

Saw a leaf,
Saw a leaf,
Saw a leaf falling down.

It was floating,
It was twirling,
As it spun and spun around.
Tried to catch it,
Tried to catch it
When it landed on the ground.

But it kept right on twirling
As it danced across the town.

Singing can also be included as part of your preschool activities for Fall harvest.

Hand Print Turkey -

Handprint turkeys are easy to make around Thanksgiving time. Have the kids trace their hands with a pencil. The thumb will become the beak and the fingers the feather of the turkey. Don't forget to add the feet!

Painting Sessions -

Landscape paintings are beautiful creations from art the preschoolers can enjoy. Just provide them paper and paint and let them loose. Perhaps give them an idea like where is their favorite place to spend Fall.

Game -

Pin the leaf on a tree. Played like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Draw the skeleton of a tree on butcher paper and tack to a wall in the room. Try real leaves or leaves cut from construction paper and have the kids re-leaf the tree.

Colorful, tranquil and always changing is the season of Fall. Bright colors and foreboding skeletons of trees as well as the anticipation of the upcoming holidays fill the air.

Teach the preschoolers about change, color, holidays and gatherings - you can't miss! After all, it's all a part of Fall Preschool Activities. Do check out more Preschool Fall Crafts Here!
